==Overview==
Honor Guards are [[staff]] positions in the [[Department of Membership]]. They serve as assistants to the [[Company Commander]]s. They are the Company equivalent of [[Hearts of Ajah]].

===Chain of Command===
The Honor Guard reports to the {{CC}}.

==Duties and Responsibilities==
The day-to-day role of the Honor Guard can vary slightly between Companies. Generally, an Honor Guard helps boost the Company's morale, while the Company Commander handles the more administrative needs of the Company.

In most Companies, an Honor Guard:

*Supports the Company Commander.
*Acts as Company Commander if he is temporarily unavailable.
*Is a co-administrator of the Company's Great Room and Chambers forums.
*Monitors and actively participates in the Company's Room and Chambers.
*Closes threads with an excessive number of pages and opens new ones.
*Helps build relationships between the Company's guesting [[MM:_Accepted_and_Soldiers|Soldiers]], [[MM:_Accepted_and_Soldiers#Aspiring_to_an_Ajah.2FCompany|Aspirants]], Gaidin, and Bondmates.
*When needed, provides recommendations and does research when the Company Commander is considering raising an Aspirant to Gaidin.
*The Honor Guard can also act as a substitute {{wc}} in certain situations. Some Companies will not allow an Honor Guard to also be a {{wc}} for this reason.

==Expectations==
The day-to-day role of the Honor Guard can vary slightly between Companies. Generally the requirements are:
*Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
*Able to work closely with the Company Commander.
*Generally, cannot be a {{wc}} at the same time.
*Some Companies may have additional requirements.

===Time Commitment===
Generally, {{HG}}s serve for 6 months, but this can be flexible depending on the Company.

==Qualifications==
*Be in good standing
*Must be a Gaidin of that Company in good standing.
*Must be able to commit for the entire term.

*They will have the power to solve problems, but they need to have the will to do it
*They should feel comfortable asking other Membership Administrators for help, and have the confidence of knowing that the [[Director of Membership]] is there to support them
*They are required to care about their people's needs, help take care of them, be present, care about the Tower as a whole, and have fun.

===Time Commitment===
*Must be able to dedicate at least 10-15 hours per week to the position though this number varies depending on what's going on at the time.
*Must be willing to serve in the role for a full 18 month term.

==Qualifications==
*Must be a Gaidin of at least 6 months standing within their Company.
*Must be organized, active, and have strong leadership and team-building skills.
*Must be extremely knowledgeable about our Bylaws, the Membership Manual, the administrative structure, and how our Community operates.

=== To your average man honor is an ideal. To the [[Val'Cueran (TarValon.Net)|Val'Cueran]] it is a way of life.===

The Val'Cueran are a company of Gaidin who share a common view on the world. A view that puts the needs of others above that of themselves. They are a brotherhood; a pack of wolves who rely on each other and would do their utmost to not let each other down.

While many Companies embody an idea like The Brains, The Brawn or The Jokers, Val'Cueran hold to a more traditional line that they simply are. One might call them The Heart, for it is one of the original Companies and is The Koyn Amyrlin's Company, with her having bonded two warders of Val'Cueran.

An unwritten code of honor is held by the brothers of Val'Cueran, something which in part accounts for the large ratio of servicemen who have found the company their home. This same honor tied in with a fierce loyalty has seen Val'Cueran as a popular choice for Aes Sedai looking for a warder who would ride into oblivion to keep his bond-mate safe.

As [[Valorian Edoras]] said,

;Why did you choose Val'Cueran?
I chose the VC because it is the company that stands for the values that stands closest to my own. Also, I like the whole idea of the pack and how we use that on the site. The VC are set up with a great crew and I really enjoy being a part of it. Val'Cueran rocks! :)

;How was your time as Citizen/Recruit/Soldier?
I had fun at all stages of my time here at TV.net. I've been here for just over two years now and I've spent that time enjoying being a wild and boozing citizen, a hard working and fun-loving recruit and a tough and teaching soldier. I probably spent more time than most in becoming a Senior Member, but I don't regret doing that. I spent a few months at each membership level and really got the feel of it before I advanced. Now, as I am a AM, I can really say I know what it's like to be at all levels here ;).

;What things do you do for TV.net?
I used to teach a Borderlanders class and I'm currently the Honor Guard of the Val'Cueran. I'm also a mentor.

;How did you get to read the Series?
I lived with a friend that made me read the first book and after that I was hooked. At the time I started on the series we were already on book 9, so I read through the books in weeks. Since then, I've re-read and waited for books to come out.

;To whom are you bonded, if you're bonded?
I'm a youngling ladies ;)

;Who's your favorite character of the Series? Favorite Nation?
Fav character: Perrin (though at times I hate him)
Fav nation: Kandor

;Have you ever attended any Real Life Functions? Did you like them if you did, and why? (Why do you think people should come to any future functions?)
Nope! I wanted to go to the Euro Winter party, but that might not happen now. I hope I'll be able to go though.

;What kind of music do you like?
All sorts... Don't get me started... Seriously, you can't shut me up :)

;What are your favorite movies?
Again, difficult question. There are so many... Matrix, lord of the rings, American Pie are some of my favorites.

;What's the craziest/stupidest thing you've ever done?
I refuse to answer that question before I have had the stiches removed... :P

;What job do you have?
Supply Chain manager and project manager

;Do you have a pet?
Nope, I used to have a dog, but he died and now I live in a city. I'll probably get another dog soon though, but I'd preferably like to move to a better suited place for it first.

;What languages do you speak?
Norwegian, English, some French, some German, Swedish (as well as a Norwegian can speak and understand it). Oh, I can count to 10 in Indonesian, do a few cheezy lines in dutch and say some russian phrases which I have no idea what means...

;What profession did you want to have when you were a kid?
Pilot!

Suroth.. I know she's bad, but I hate Egeanin... She's too stupid for her own good, but she is kind.... No, I change my mind. Egeanin.
