==General==

Sheraine Caminelle was once an Aes Sedai. However, she was captured by the Seanchan and collared. The sul'dam gave her a new name, Mylen (WH, Ch. 14).

Sheraine and her Warder were in Falme when the Seanchan ambushed them. Her Warder was killed while she was shielded and made damane (TGH, Ch. 43). Sheraine did not cooperate with the sul'dam holding her, refusing to eat and drink (WH Ch. 14). She was later taken to Seanchan, where she was bought by Tuon. All of the der'sul'dam expected her to die but Tuon persevered and trained her. Sheraine became the perfect damane and is Tuon's special pride. She was chosen to be one of the six damane to accompany Tuon back across the Aryth Ocean (WH, Ch. 14). Melitene chose her to be one of the damane involved in rescuing Tuon after her kidnapping (CoT, Ch. 4).

Sheraine is very short and a trifle plump. She is pale and has dark hair. From this description it seems likely that Sheraine is Cairhienin (WH, Ch. 14). She is pretty (TGH, Ch. 43).

Shemerin is an Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah who sides with Elaida when the White Tower splits (TSR, Ch. 47).

Shemerin is described as being plump, with a strain of anxiety often around her eyes (TSR, Ch. 47; TFoH, Prologue). Nynaeve thinks that Shemerin can be fluttery for an Aes Sedai (TFoH, Ch. 9).

==Timeline==

* Shemerin is with Elaida when Siuan is shielded and taken from her office (TSR, Ch. 47).

* Shemerin meets with Elaida and her other supporters to discuss what is going on in the world; she states that the last thing they need is another army on the march (TFoH, Prologue).

* During the meeting, when Elaida starts to talk about the Dragon Reborn, Shemerin clasps her plump hands tightly together. When Elaida forces all of the present Aes Sedai to look at the painting of Rand on her wall, claiming that cowards are of no use to the Tower, Shemerin wrings her hands and tears well up in her eyes. Finally, as Elaida continues on about Rand, Shemerin's knees give way and she sinks to the floor. When Elaida dismisses them, Joline helps her to her feet. Elaida decides that something needs to be done about Shemerin (TFoH, Prologue).

* Elaida thinks that Shemerin will do nicely as her next example to the other Aes Sedai (TFoH, Prologue).

* When Egwene asks Siliviana how it was possible for Shemerin to be demoted to Accepted as there is no provision for such a move in Tower law, Silviana replies that there is no provision, but that Elaida used a loophole, upon which she does not elaborate. Silviana thinks that the problem was that Shemerin accepted the demotion; other sisters told her to ignore the edict, but instead she moved into the Accepted's quarters (KoD, Ch. 24).

* When Shemerin accepted Elaida's edict, some of the sisters tried to make Shemerin see sense, and sent her to Silviana for punishment (KoD, Ch. 24).

Shaidar Haran means "Hand of the Dark" in the Old Tongue (LoC, Prologue). He looks like a Myrddraal, except that he stands head and shoulders taller than any other Myrddraal (LoC, Prologue). He is able to disappear into shadows (LoC, Ch. 6). He can distinguish between saidar and saidin, but can't tell one flow from another (ACoS, Ch. 40). He also wants to break free from the tie that binds him to Shayol Ghul; he becomes weak when he's away too long (ACoS, Ch. 40).

* Shaidar Haran guides Demandred to see the Great Lord (LoC, prologue).

The Myrddraal moved from the deeper shadows, becoming visible. In its eyes, the gateways had left a residue - three patches of glowing mist. It could not tell one flow from another, but it could distinguish saidin from saidar by the smell. Saidin smelled like the sharp edge of a knife, the point of a thorn. Saidar smelled soft, but like something that would grow harder the harder it was pressed. No other Myrddraal could smell that difference. Shaidar Haran was like no other Myrddraal. It flowed across the hallway in that eye-wrenching way, ebon cloak hanging in denial of motion. One moment it was a statue ten paces away, the next it loomed over her so she had the choice of backing away or craning her neck to look up at that dead-white, eyeless face. Backing away was out of the question. "You will drain her completely, Semirhage. You will squeeze her dry, without delay, and tell me every scrap that you learn." (Lord of Chaos, Chapter 6)

==General==

Seta Zarbey is a sul'dam of the Seanchan. She has yellow hair and blue eyes and is about Nynaeve's size (TGH, Ch. 45). She is a pale woman (WH, Ch. 30).

Seta was captured by Nynaeve, Min, and Elayne in Falme. The two accepted found out that the a'dam worked on the sul'dam (TGH, Ch. 45) and used Seta to get into the damane quarters to free Egwene (TGH, Ch. 46). Seta is left collared and found by another sul'dam Alwhin (WH, Ch. 20).

In Ebou Dar, Seta is blackmailed into joining Mat's escape party (WH, Ch. 30). She controls the a'dam of Edesina (WH, Ch. 31). Seta shares a wagon with the other sul'dam and Aes Sedai when they travel with Valan Luca's Circus (CoT, Ch. 3).

Sergase Gilbearn is a minor Andoran noblewoman. She is one of the nobles who opposed Gaebril (LoC, Ch. 28). She supports Elayne's bid for the throne (KoD, Ch. 17).

She is a small, slim woman with dark hair that is lightly touched with white (KoD, Ch. 17).

==Timeline==

* Reene Harfor tells Rand that several nobles who had opposed Gaebril, Sergase among them, have arrived in Caemlyn. She has not presented her respects at the Palace (LoC, Ch. 28).

* Upon learning of the siege of Caemlyn, Sergase rides to Elayne's support, bringing with her all twenty of the armsmen in her service, and does not turn back on learning the odds (KoD, Ch. 17).

* On her way to the Map Room, Elayne stops to exchange pleasantries with her (KoD, Ch. 17).

* When Birgitte arrives at one of the Traveling grounds to lead the soldiers in the rescue of Elayne from the Black Ajah, she finds all of the lords and ladies loyal to Elayne gathered and mounted. Serancha has a pinched mouth and a pinched nose. She has pale blue eyes and could almost be considered pretty (KoD, Ch. 24).

* Seaine and Pevara once dusted Serancha's shift with itchcloak (ACoS, Ch. 32).

* Pevara believes that Serancha is a prig (ACoS, Ch. 32).

* Serancha picked Andaya to become the new Gray Sitter after the Tower split (CoT, Prologue).

She believes that there are more books lost or forgotten than anyone could credit waiting to be found again (TGH, Ch. 37).

==Timeline==

* Sheriam says that Serafelle has told her the Aiel were in retreat (NS, Ch. 6).

* She is part of the Amyrlin's entourage that arrives at Fal Dara (TGH, Ch. 2).

* On her way to the audience with Siuan, Moiraine sees Serafelle sitting in the anteroom and reading an old, tattered book. She did not even notice Moiraine's entrance, when she greeted the present sisters (TGH, Ch. 4).

* Serafelle is the only other sister who has seen the Prophecies of the Shadow, but she is not interested in anything that has not already been put in a book (TGH, Ch. 7).

Senine din Ryal is a Windfinder on a soarer, one of the Sea Folk's smaller vessels. She was Windfinder to the Mistress of the Ships before Nesta din Reas, but when the Mistress of the Ships died, she had to start from the bottom rank again. She has weathered cheeks and thickly grayed hair and once wore more than her present six earrings, which were thicker then. Her chain held more medallions, as well (TPoD, Ch. 2; WH, Ch. 11).

==Timeline==

* Although not directly mentioned, she is one of the twenty Windfinders to accompany Nynaeve and Lan to the Tarasin Palace as agreed to in the Bargain with the Mistress of the Ships (ACoS, Ch. 37). On Renaile's agreement, the Windfinders accompany Elayne and Nynaeve wherever they will go to activate the Bowl of the Winds (ACoS, Ch. 39).

As is typical for the people of Cairhien, she is short (PoD, Ch. 8), pale-faced with dark eyes and dark hair. The first time we meet her she has her hair long and put up in the Cairhienin style, gaining her an extra foot at least (FoH, Ch. 51), but as she becomes more and more fascinated by the Aiel she wears her hair like the maidens; cut short except for a tail tied with a ribbon at the nape of her neck (PoD, Ch. 8). Faile thinks of her as diminutive (PoD, Ch. 8) while Perrin uses the word slender (WH, Ch. 6.)

She pretends to be as comfortable with changing in front of men as she thinks the Maidens are, but her facial expression and hurried breath belies her. Faile thinks of her as brightest, quickest and steadiest of the Cha Faile, even if she wants a scar like the ones some of the Maidens have. She is concise in her reports (PoD, Ch. 8.) Despite being only a minor Cairhien noble - she only has six slashes of color in her bodice/coat - (LoC, Ch. 19) she has full control of Cha Faile despite the fact that some of the others are from major Cairhien houses (WH, Ch. 6.)

==Timeline==

* After Rand has taken control over Cairhien, Selande Darengil is made to approach him in a scheme of Colavaere Saighan's, whose retainer she is. Rand understands what the reason for her interest is and scares her away by pretending to be affected by the madness afflicting men who can channel (FoH, Ch. 51).

* She, like other Cairhienin young nobles, rebels against the ban on dueling Rhuarc has made in Cairhien, and as punishment she is submitted to part of the process of being made gai'shain, namely sitting a day naked in the sun under guard. Afterwards, she boasts of the experience to another woman who has also adopted some of the Aiel customs - or at least what they believe are Aiel customs (LoC, Ch. 50.)

* When Rand returns from his captivity with the sisters sent by Elaida, she and some other minor nobles belonging to the 'societies' of young nobles pretending to be Aiel meets him and leads him into the Grand Hall (AcoS, Ch. 4.) They have all started dressing like Aiel; the men as well as the women wear snug-fitting breeches and mens coats. They also wear swords buckled around their hips. Selande and some of the others follow Perrin and Faile back to their room after the meeting in the Grand Hall, and do not leave until Faile tells them to obey her husband (AcoS, Ch. 5.)

* Together with two dozen others, she follows Perrin and Faile when they leave Cairhien to go to Ghealdan. Faile has taken them into her and her husbands service (LoC, Ch. 27). Faile uses her and the others as spies and near to the town of Bethal, she reports in some news in the middle of the night and is shocked when she receives the new ones. She does not object, however (PoD, Ch. 8.)

* After Faile is taken by the Shaido, the horses of Selande and her companions are taken away. They go to Perrin to demand them back but end up promising to obey him until Faile has returned (WH, Ch. 6.) She continues to spy, now for Perrin, and brings back news about Masema's meetings with Masuri and Annoura just outside of the small village Brytan. During the two weeks or so that has passed since Faile was kidnapped, she has begun to respect Perrin and his leadership (CoT, Ch. 8.)

Selame is one of Egwene's maids. Lelaine picked her out among the refugees and gave her to Egwene as a present. In actuality she is a spy for Lelaine. She is rail-thin with a dark Tairen complexion and a long nose (ACoS, Ch. 10).

Chesa thinks that Selame carries her nose in the air, but knows at least what is expected of a lady's maid, so she and Meri will work to settle her down (ACoS, Ch. 8). Egwene, however, does not see any of Selame's arrogance she displays around the other maids. Selame is self-assured, but she acts very obsequiously around her patroness. According to Egwene, Selame has very little sense, is constantly fussing over her and chattering brainlessly, while performing her duties diligently. Egwene is not sure whether or not Selame really is an idiot (ACoS, Ch. 10).

Samitsu Tamagowa is an Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah from the nation of Arafel. She has hazel eyes (CoT, Ch. 24). Like most Arafellin's, she adorns her hair with bells. (CoS, Ch. 36.) She has dark hair, and is considered to be very pretty.

Samitsu is extremely gifted when it comes to Healing. She is known as the best Healer in centuries, and can Heal almost as well as a linked circle. (CoT, Prologue.) When she sees Flinn save Rand with his Healing, she whisks him off to find out what he did. (CoS, Ch. 36.)

Samtisu holds many of the personality traits common to Aes Sedai. She is unused to being thought of as a fool, and as can be expected, dislikes it greatly. She also hates failures, particularly when it comes to Healing, and also hates remembering failures. (CoT, Prologue.) Cadsuane thinks that Samitsu is observt, intelligent and strong-willed, but she can suffer the most astonishing collapses in her self confidence and sometimes needs help regaining her composure (CoT, Ch. 24).

* After Elayne and Nynaeve have found the Bowl of the Winds and started preparing to use it, Sareitha is part of the "court" of sisters who question Elayne and decide what should be done with her for endangering Aes Sedai secrets, such as that about the Kin. Rand happens to be there when Master Fitch comes to complain to her of her cat. People had complained about finding dead rats in the inn. Sara threatens to leave, but Master Fitch manages to calm her down again.

After Master Fitch has left, she calls Rand to the kitchen and tells him that her cat normally wouldn't have killed the rats the way they had been killed.

After searching every inn in Four Kings, Rand and Mat ask for a room or a pallet in Hake's inn and offer to entertain his patrons. Grudgingly at first, he agrees to give them a pallet when the last customer is gone. The way Hake eyes the heron-mark sword makes it clear for Rand that the innkeeper intends to rob him. Late at night, he leads the two boys into an old storeroom where they may spend the night.

Samitsu is extremely gifted when it comes to Healing. She is known as the best Healer in centuries, and can Heal almost as well as a linked circle. (CoT, Prologue.) When she sees Flinn save Rand with his Healing, she whisks him off to find out what he did. (CoS, Ch. 36.)

Samtisu holds many of the personality traits common to Aes Sedai. She is unused to being thought of as a fool, and as can be expected, dislikes it greatly. She also hates failures, particularly when it comes to Healing, and also hates remembering failures. (CoT, Prologue.) Cadsuane thinks that Samitsu is observt, intelligent and strong-willed, but she can suffer the most astonishing collapses in her self confidence and sometimes needs help regaining her composure (CoT, Ch. 24).

==Relationships==

Samitsu is one of Cadsuane's followers. In the Prologue of Crossroads of Twilight, she thinks, "this was not the first time she had been pulled into one of the legendary Green's designs." When Cadsuane leaves the Sun Palace, she leaves Samitsu in charge.

Samitsu seems to dislike Sashalle, Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah, very much. An apprentice to the Aiel Wise Ones, one of the Aes Sedai that was stilled, and then Healed by Damer Flinn, she acts like she is the one in control, which angers Samitsu.

Saerin Asnobar is an Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah, as well as a Sitter in the Hall of the Tower. She was born in Altara, an innkeeper's daughter. Saerin has olive skin and dark hair with some white at the temples. She also has a dueling scar on one cheek and is known for carrying a knife, fingering it when she becomes angry.

The Daughters of Silence first trained Saerin in the One Power during 794-798 NE. She became a novice when the group was discovered and broken up by the White Tower. She was the only member to attain the shawl (TPoD, Ch. 26). In ca. 960 NE, Saerin was selected to be a Sitter for the Brown Ajah. She has held this position for 40 years, longer than any other Sitter currently in the Hall. Among the Sitters, Saerin is known for her temper (TPoD, Ch. 26), which is quite volatile for an Aes Sedai of her standing.

In ca. 999 NE, Saerin, along with her fellow Sitters, Yukiri, Doesine, and Talene, discover Pevara and Seaine, two other Sitters, in the Tower's cellars (TPoD, Ch. 26). After discovering that Seaine was hiding the Oath Rod, Saerin persuades Yukiri and Doesine to join the others' search for the Black Ajah, uncovering Talene's true allegiance in the process.

Currently, Saerin Sedai has taken charge of the Sitters' search for the Black Ajah. During this search, she used the Oath Rod to pledge to tell only the truth, declaring herself not to be a darkfriend (TPoD, Ch. 26). Saerin is truly the leader of her group's mission, although she listens to the opinions of Pevara and Yukiri, since they are comparably strong in the Power. For example, it is Saerin's decision not to tell the Amyrlin about Talene being a darkfriend until they are able to expose the entire Black Ajah (WH, Prologue). Also, she has to give Seaine permission to leave her rooms when her life may be in danger (CoT, Prologue).

They also admonished her not to behave like a fluff-brained girl and Min still thinks of her aunts when she hears that word (TPoD, Ch. 27). One piece of advise that Rana and Jan always gave Min was to never kiss a man if she did not intend to marry him, which is why Min does not want to know what her aunts might think of her relationship with Rand (ACoS, Ch. 19).

Alivia reminds Min of her aunt, although Rana does not have blue eyes and golden hair. It is more the air that both women have of always seeming to know when someone has done something wrong and always seeing to that person never wanting to do it again (WH, Ch. 33).

==Timeline==

* After Min's father died, she and Min's other aunts, Jan and Miren, tried to raise Min to be a "decent proper woman," which involved wearing dresses. They disapproved of her wearing breeches and working into the stables. Min, however, refused to be put into dresses as stubbornly as not learning to sew. The only time Min willingly wore a dress was during her time serving at tables at The Miners' Rest, but her aunts saw to getting her out of there quickly when they found out (ACoS, Ch. 2; ACoS, Ch. 35).

* Min started reading auras at the age of twelve; once, she saw a man and a woman in the streets and knew they were going to marry. However, the man was already married, but when he ran off with the other woman, his wife claimed that Min was responsible for is. If Rana had not convinced Min to say that she had overheard the man and woman talking and her other aunts had not promised to punish her for spreading tales, Min would have been hurt, or even killed. Her aunts knew the truth, but they wanted to make the other people believe that Min did not know what she was talking about since she was still a child (ACoS, Ch. 2).

* Min knows what her aunts will think if they ever find out about Min being "comforted" by Rand, a man she is not married to. She is certain they would immediately set off from Baerlon to skin both of them alive (ACoS, Ch. 35).

Raimun Holdwin is the innkeeper of the Goose and Crown in Andor. He is also a Darkfriend (EotW, Ch. 34 & Ch. 35).

A Myrddraal talks to him outside of his inn at night. From his words to a farmer later, the subject was about Rand and Mat. Holdwin is visibly nervous not only around the Fade, but also when Almen Bunt, the farmer, addresses him about it. They come to speak of what Holdwin's "strange friend" wanted: two young men, who stole a heron-mark sword from Holdwin's friend. They are supposed to be Darkfriends as well as followers of Logain and have sly tongues. Holdwin says that there is a reward on them and in case Bunt ever saw them he should let him know. Holdwin spreads some more curious tales about Rand and Mat, but Bunt does not believe him anyway (EotW, Ch. 34).

Bunt tells Rand and Mat that if he were out on the reward he would just go to Holdwin and tell him about the two, but he does not like the innkeeper much (EotW, Ch. 35).

Ihvon is more solicitious of Alanna than ever since Owein died (LoC, Ch. 11).

Alanna allows herself to weep occasionally since leaving the Two Rivers (LoC, Ch. 11). Some of the other Aes Sedai have differing opinions of what Alanna is feeling with Owein's death; Merana thinks that Alanna deserves a little upset for bonding Rand against his will, even if she did just recently lose a Warder, but Seonid speaks almost gently to her (LoC, Ch. 43).

Ortis and some of the other Winged Guards come upon several men burning a farm, with the farm folk still inside. They capture the men and bring them to Perrin, who orders them to be hanged.

He says that he will recite it to the people of Emond's Field (TEotW, Ch. 4); he tells it on the way to Baerlon (TEotW, Ch. 13); he tells it in Barthanes' manor (TGH, Ch. 34); he tells it in an inn named The Woman of Tanchico, in Tar Valon (TDR, Ch. 31); and he tells it in an inn named the Three Plum Court, in Tanchico (TSR, Ch. 39).
