In the Land of Caemlyn, where the Shadow rules
<br>One ter'angreal to rule them all, one ter'angreal to find them
<br>One ter'angreal to bring them all, and in the darkness-
<br>Oh, wait, wrong story.

Our story, however, does begin in Caemlyn, the land of arrogance.
<br>The Seanchan knew little of our land when they robbed the Tower,
<br>But they did know that the Lions of Andor held an intricate palace,
<br>And in it is where they hid the ter'angreal of Power they had stolen.

Maeric was a man of great renown in the Tower for his healing abilities.
<br>He had healed many a wound when a Yellow wasn't available.
<br>And the Amyrlin appreciated him and his Aes Sedai,
<br>So she chose them for the mission of reclaiming the ter'angreal.

The Warder Maeric and Aes Sedai Adina entered the Inner City,
<br>Where those of the Tower were not an uncommon occurance.
<br>They requested an audience with the queen of the city,
<br>And were granted it within the hour, a little late.

They entered the Royal Palace and Adina went to visit with the Queen,
<br>While Maeric went off in search of the artifact, searching with just a description.
<br>He only had a few hours while Adina held the Queen's attention,
<br>So he searched in the likeliest of places to hide a single bird figurine.

He spent nearly two hours searching for this little stone bird,
<br>And found nothing, to his greatest disappointment and shame.
<br>A thought occurred to him, and he dashed off to the middle of the Palace,
<br>And towards the bedrooms of the little child the Queen had just birthed.

There were two guards outside of the child's room, 
<br>But Maeric quickly dispensed of them with two ninja-acupuncture pinches.
<br>They fell without a word as he entered the room,
<br>Seeing the child laying in his crib, cradling a bird figurine.

Maeric smiled to himself, striding up to the child and picking him up.
<br>He cradled the boy in his arms and slipped the bird figurine into his pocket.
<br>He set the boy, now asleep, back down into his crib.
<br>And slipped past the guards again, towards the Waiting Room.

Adina emerged soon after, a smile on her face, all Aes Sedai serenity.
<br>Maeric stood and walked over to her, they strode out of the Palace.
<br>The Gaidin quietly handed Adina the figurine through a caged hand,
<br>And smiled to himself, since the mission was now accomplished.
