Mistress Beldair is a chief cook in the Sun Palace. She is stout, graying and quite tall for a Cairhienin.
She is supervising some cooks when Karldin Manfor and Loial return to the Sun Palace. Some of the under-cooks are gossiping until Samitsu and Sashalle enter and want to speak with the visitors themselves. Then she sends everyone under her back to work.
