General
Fearil is Elza Penfell's only Warder. Like his Aes Sedai, he is a Darkfriend. Fearil and Elza have been bonded for twenty years, and Elza has spent that time convincing everyone that they are married, even though they aren't; since everyone thinks that they are married, no one thinks it odd that he is her only Warder. Elza thinks that "a man with just the right qualifications is hard to find," but Fearil obviously meets her standards (CoT, Ch. 24).
Fearil is tall and lean, with pale-colored hair. His mouth has a hard edge to it, but this only serves to make his face more pretty. He has a harsh voice (CoT, Ch. 24).
Fearil does not question the orders that Elza gives him. He is afraid of being punished; although she cannot kill him without causing herself pain, she has no scruples about punishing him. He enjoys killing (CoT, Ch. 24).
Timeline
- Elza leaves Fearil behind in Cairhien when she goes to Far Madding with Cadsuane (WH, Ch. 23).
- Erian and Sarene announce to Cadsuane and Rand that their Warders are Traveling closer. Elza adds that Fearil is, as well (CoT, Ch. 23).
- Fearil and the other Warders arrive in Tear with Davram Bashere and Logain Ablar (CoT, Ch. 24).
- Elza and Fearil speak; Fearil explains why he is in Tear. He is relieved when she accepts his report (CoT, Ch. 24).
Miscellaneous
- Elza tells Fearil to kill anyone who threatens the Dragon Reborn (CoT, Ch. 24).
Quotes

"Yes, yes, enough. You did the right thing, Fearil. It would have been taken as odd if you were the only one to refuse to find your Aes Sedai." (Elza to Fearil; Crossroads of Twilight, Chapter 24).
"She was strict about obedience to her orders, and while he knew she could not kill him -- would not, at least -- punishment only required her to mask the bond so that she did not share his pain.
