Garan is an Aiel man of the Jhirad sept of the Goshien Aiel.
Garan was taken as a gai'shain by a Maiden named Joinde. On the day before his last day as her gai'shain, Joinde makes a bridal wreath to lay at his feet. This is odd because Joinde is Shaarad, and the Goshien and Shaarad clans have a blood feud.
