Summary
Falion's Point of View:
Location: Ebou Dar
Characters: Falion
Falion is frustrated as Nynaeve and Elayne has again slipped out without anyone seeing. The only thing that kept Falion in Ebou Dar looking for a nonexistent cache of angreal was that the command came from one of the Chosen. Leading Moghedien to Nynaeve and Elayne though might be a bigger price than nonexistent angreal.
Herid Fel's Point of View:
Setting: The School of Cairhien
Herid Fel never noticed the gholam that slipped into his room. Later Idrien finds him there, torn limb from limb.
A Seeker for Truth's Point of View:
Location: Ebou Dar
Characters:a Seeker for Truth
Overlooking Ebou Dar, Mor realizes the city offers the best opportunities for looting. He thinks that perhaps the Return would come soon.
Moghedien's Point of View:
Location: Salidar
Characters: Moghedien
A miserable Moghedien lies in her tent, very conscious of the a'dam. Then a woman enters the tent. She says her name is Aran'gar and that she will remove the a'dam for Moghedien. She has been summoned to Shayol Ghul. Moghedien wonders about the woman, Halima is the name she uses in the camp, as she never feels saidar being channeled.
Egwene's Point of View:
Location: Salidar
Egwene inspects "Marigan's" tent, which is empty. She clearly felt the necklace come off and a stab of pain that means a man who can channel must have done it. Chesa is right behind Egwene and says that night air is not good for Egwene and that she should have sent Chesa if she had wanted Marigan. Egwene tells her that she thinks Marigan has run away, which makes Chesa angry. Egwene wonders whether Logain could have known about Moghedien and come back.
Demandred's Point of View:
Location: Shayol Ghul
Characters: Demandred
Demandred is summoned to Shayol Ghul. "Have I not done well, Great Lord?"
