The Seanchan return and capture Amadicia and Ebou Dar. The girls find the bowl before fleeing leaving Mat behind. Fain attacks and nearly kills Rand, who is saved by one of the Asha'man. Elaida sends Aes Sedai to destroy the Black Tower and sets another to find the Black Ajah. Rand defeats and probably kills Sammael in Shadar Logoth, before going back to Illian where he is proclaimed King.
