Summary

Logain's Point of View:

Location: The Field of Merrilor

Characters: Logain, Androl, Bayle Domon, Desautel, Gabrelle, Leilwin

Logain looks for Sakarnen while the battle rages on around him. Leilwin arrives to give him the Seals with a message from Egwene, "You must deliver the Seals up to the White Tower to be broken. The sign is the coming of Light! She says it will be known when it arrives." Desautel tells him thinks they have have found it. He tries to work out a way to free it from the crystal, considering balefire. Androl arrives and tells him that Trollocs are attacking the refugees from Caemlyn, but that the people there are too tired and the need him



Mat's Point of View:

Location: The Field of Merrilor

Characters: Mat, Hend, Rogosh, Hawkwing

Mat rides with the Heroes of the Horn. He asks if he is one of them, and Hend tells him he is not, though he has done more than enough to earn a place. He sees the Seanchan army about to join with Elayne's army and sees the river return, splitting the Shadow forces. The remaining Sharans flee through gateways. Elayne's forces and the Seanchan attack the Trollocs on their side of the river, routing them. On the other side of the river, the rest of the Seanchan attack the rest of the Trollocs, using the exotic animals. The trollocs flee, but are picked off by the dragons, with the few survivors sinking into the bogs.

He realises he has to go to Rand, but before he goes, asks Hawkwing to speak to Tuon.




Rand's Point of View:

Location: The Pit of Doom

Characters: Rand, Shai'tan

Rand speaks with the Dark One in all caps, telling him that he can not win because he cannot inspire people




Aviendha's Point of View:

Location: Above Thakan'dar

Characters: Aviendha, Graendal


Aviendha tries to weave a gateway to escape Hessalam, who sees her and prepares a shield. Aviendha ties off the gateway, leaving it open in case Amys sees it. Hessalam wraps her in air, but is herself severely weakened. She takes her knife out, but is too weak to hold it.

Mysteries

How did Egwene know to when to Break the Seals?

"The sign is the coming of the Light". Moiraine was aware that she would know.
