Author: Kyria d'Oreyn

General

Amylia is an Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah. She is pale-haired and bosomy, with bright blue eyes that look permanently startled. She is the first Aes Sedai to teach the Windfinders, according to the bargain they had made.

We do not know if she stands for Egwene or Elaida.

She does not know how to make a gateway.

She jumps and flinches at everything, Zaida says, so Harine thinks she has done something badly wrong.

(Reference: Knife of Dreams, Chapter 22).

Timeline

  • Amylia agreed to teach the Windfinders so she could be able to study the Atha'an Miere. They, however, do not leave her enough time for it and make her work hard (KoD, Ch. 22).
  • She tries to run away three times and is punished when she is returned. Harine din Togara is sure she will not dare to again (KoD, Ch. 22).
  • She is present at the meeting of the First Twelve Wavemistresses and serves Zaida. When Logain shows up, Amylia is shocked and tells Zaida who he is. She thinks it is impossible for him to channel, since he was gentled (KoD, Ch. 22).

Quotes

"This man was a false Dragon. He was gentled for it. How it is he can channel again, I cannot know, but he channels saidin. Saidin! He is tainted, Shipmistress. If you deal with him, you will incur the wrath of the White Tower." (Amylia on Logain; Knife of Dreams, Chapter 22)

"You've nothing to fear from me, Amylia Sedai," he told her. "It's been a long time since I ate anyone for breakfast." (Logain to Amylia; Knife of Dreams, Chapter 22)
