Balat is a sword-swallower and fire-eater in Valan Luca's menagerie. His brother is Abar. He is a lean Domani (KoD, Ch. 8).
He and his brother are very popular among the other showfolk and even Thom admits that they are good. This way, they easily find somewhere to sleep when Mat buys their tent (KoD, Ch. 8).
