Basharande was one of the nations of [[the Free Era]]. It was located in the northern part of the Westlands. It was one of the then Borderlands, and its northern border touched the mountains in several places, although it also contained a number of southward bulges of varying size. All of the borders that did not reach the mountains were within sight of them. To the east was [[Elsalam]], with [[Abayan]] to the southwest and [[Indrahar]] and [[Oburun]] to the south. Eventually, this area of land became what is now [[Saldaea]].
