Madoc Comadrin: A historical general. He wrote a book called Fog and Steel on military tactics.

Magla Daronos: An Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah; she is aligned with the rebel Aes Sedai. She is a Sitter for her Ajah in the rebel camp and retains her seat after reunification. She is originally from Illian.

Maglin Madwen: A woman from Lugard; the innkeeper of The Nine Rings in Tremonsien, Cairhien. She was married to Barin Madwen.

Mahiro Shukosa: A nobleman from Kandor; Rafela Cindal's Warder.

Maigan Nem: A woman from Andor; Admer Nem's wife. They live in Kore Springs.

Maigan: An Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah, therefore aligned with the rebels. After Anaiya's death, Maigan takes on her place in Egwene's council.

Maighdin Trakand: A noblewoman from Andor; Morgase's mother. She died of a fever. Maighdin Dorlain: see Morgase Trakand.

Maigran: A young Jenn Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World; Marind and Saralin's daughter; Lewin's sister. After she is kidnapped in a raid, her brother wants to rescue her. He is cast out by their second greatfather Adan, because he killed a man while freeing Maigran.

Mailaine Harvole: A historical Aes Sedai shortly after the Breaking. She took part in the decision of building Tar Valon and the White Tower.

Mailinde Paendrag Lyndhal: A Queen of Shandalle; married to Myrdin Paendrag Maregore. She was Artur Hawkwing's mother. She died of Black Fever.

Mair: An Accepted aligned with the White Tower. She was recently raised in 'Knife of Dreams.' She is originally from Arafel. She was serving Elaida when Elaida was captured by the Seanchan

Maira: A Serai Tomanelle Maiden of the Spear.

Marind: A Jenn Aiel shortly after the Breaking of the World. His parents are Adan and Siedre; his siblings are Elwin, Jaren, Rhea and Sorelle. He is married to Saralin and has two children, Lewin and Maigran. He is killed during a raid.

He blew the Horn of Valere and is the General of Shen en Calhar, the Band of the Red Hand. Due to a treaty with the Eelfinn, he has memories of dead generals in his head. He married the Daughter of the Nine Moons and in doing so, he became the Prince of Ravens.

Mattin Stepaneos den Balgar: The former King of Illian. He is kidnapped by Aes Sedai and held in he White Tower, believing Rand al'Thor has the intention of killing him for the throne of Illian.

Meilan Mendiana: A High Lord of Tear. He swears an oath of fealty to Rand. He is killed by a footpad on the orders of Colavaere in 'Lord of Chaos.'

Meilyn Arganya: An Aes Sedai of White Ajah. She is bonded to Andro. She is one of the searchers for the Dragon Reborn. She is killed by the Black Ajah in 'New Spring.'

Melare: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah, therefore aligned with Elaida's Aes Sedai. She is originally from Andor. She is one of the Aes Sedai in Pevara's group who go to the Black Tower to bond Asha'man.

Merilille Ceandevin: An Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah; she is aligned with the rebels. She was sent as an emissary to Queen Tylin of Altara. She serves a year as teacher to the Windfinders of the Atha'an Miere, but vanished from the Royal Palace with Talaan, one of the Windfinder apprentices.

Merise Haindehl: An Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah from Tarabon; she is neither aligned with Elaida's nor Egwene's Aes Sedai, but is a follower of Cadsuane Melaidhrin instead. She is bonded to Bassane, Nethan and the Asha'man Jahar Narishma.
