Hey kids! Darim here! Lord of the Dance! We’ve been without a Chat Activities Coordinator to fill the role that has been left vacant for quite some time while we’ve restructured and refocused our efforts.

The person we are looking for this position should be highly motivated and creative and will basically be given free reign with some direction to do whatever they’d like–as long as they are doing something . In the past this position has done such things as trivia competitions in #oldewarderandhen (our activities chatroom) and any number of other things!

Overview

This position is an administrative position within the Department of Community Development in the Online Services Area. This position is designed to develop worthwhile interactions and activities (games, discussions of various natures, etc…) for members within the context of our IRC Chatroom. This person will work on gathering a staff of interested and excited people with a desire to lead these events and direct and lead them in their work. This position will also be likely called upon to lead a number of activities themselves and requires a motivated, active and creative person and will be given a great deal of liberty to pursue the goals of this position. This person will work directly with the Online Services Manager and the Director of Community Development.

Requirements

-- must have been a member in good standing of any rank for at least six months -- desire to see members interact in new and compelling ways --a basic understanding of how to log in and out of IRC -- knowledge of IRC administration would be a plus but is not required

Duties

--serve as a channel operator in #OldeWarderandHen --develop and hosting activities in our IRC channels --manage and encourage a staff of program leaders --submit monthly reports on the progress of all activities
