Background

During Bel Tine 2011 the Blue Ajah chose to get in touch with their masculine side. Aavyn Eirinon manified their avatars.

An Ode

Author: Belgareth Kiarc

My dear ladies of the Blue Ajah. With the likelihood of my impending maypole match-up to one of your very own (Kytheria Sedai), I felt obliged to bless you all with some truly awful poetry. And for no possible connected reason, I have chosen as my basis the witches of Macbeth. May my butchering of the bard be satisfying.

Stubble, stubble toil and trouble
Shave-rash burn, and raw flesh bubble

Morning dawns steely bright;
Reflecting rays of piercing light.
Towards the bathroom Blue will go
Footsteps heavy, striding slow
Into mirror tired eyes gaze
Then open swift in awe amazed
The growth that shows upon the chin
Bushy shrub to cover grin

Stubble, stubble toil and trouble
Shave-rash burn, and raw flesh bubble

What magic must have occurred
To make this Blue look so absurd
Where once skin, fair flawless be
A beard that flows down to the knee
Moustache of epic proportion too
Hath also appeared on the face of Blue
But panic can nowhere to be found
No tugging of braids, no tears touch ground

Stubble, stubble toil and trouble
Shave-rash burn, and raw flesh bubble

Only Blue surely understands
The power such a beard commands
The other Ajah will envious be
Of beautiful Blue with trimmed goatee
Kings and Queens and peasants all
Every man found in hairy thrall
Recruits, Soldiers, Gaidin too
Will stand in awe of bearded Blue
