General

Coumin was a Da'shain Aiel during the War of the Shadow, and one of Rand's ancestors. His father's greatfather was Charn and his son was Jonai. In Rand's vision he was a red-haired youth of sixteen.

He sang the seed song with the other Aiel and the Ogier on the day the Bore was sealed.

On his way to Charn a townsman struck him in the face - something that would not have happened before the wars - because he believed his family had served the Forsaken. He found Charn hanged at the inn he usually visited.

Later, during the Breaking of the World, he abandons the Way of the Leaf and tries to talk the other Aiel into resisting as well.
