General

Demira Eriff is Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah. She joined the Salidar Aes Sedai and was a member of the Salidar embassy to Rand. (LoC, Ch. 41).

Demira has coppery skin. (LoC, Ch. 43). She is graceful and beautiful. (LoC, Ch. 49).

As a member of the Salidar embassy to the Dragon Reborn, Demira travelled to Caemlyn. While she was there, Demira was attacked by people pretending to be Aiel. We know this because one of the attackers had black eyes and was squat, neither trait belonging to the Aiel. She was given a message to relay to the rest of the embassy, "Tell the other witches to stay away from the Dragon Reborn." The embassy believed that the attackers were Aiel and that Rand had sent them. The embassy agreed, with encouragement from Demira and Verin, that they should leave Rand alone to throw him off balance. (LoC, Ch. 46).

A few days later, Demira and six of the other sisters went to the Royal Palace to ask Rand to lift the restrictions placed on them. He refused and sent them away. Rand them sent a letter to Merana telling her that he was leaving Caemlyn. The embassy split and Demira escorted the Two Rivers channelers to the Salidar Aes Sedai. (LoC, Ch. 49).

Quotes

"Arad Doman had seen as much of Dragonsworn as Tarabon, as well as its own civil war, but Demira Eriff, of the Brown Ajah, only talked of two things really; meeting Rand, and the rumour that he had started some sort of school in Cairhien; no man who started a school could be all bad in Demira's eyes." (Min about Demira; Lord of Chaos, Chapter 41).

"The spear going into her side was such a shock she did not even cry out. Frantically she reached for saidar, but something else pierced her side, and she was down in the dust. That remembered face was thrust into hers, black eyes mocking, growled something she ignored as she tried to reach saidar, tried to...Darkness closed in." (Demira during the attack; Lord of Chaos, Chapter 46).

"Under the circumstances, it was decided that I should speak for all. We intend you no harm here today, but the strictures we accepted before, that you would feel safe, we must now reject. Obviously you have never learned the respect due Aes Sedai. You must learn it now." (Demira to Rand; Lord of Chaos, Chapter 49).
