General
This Department took care of all of our community moderators, primarily those forum moderators who did not hold their positions because they were part of another Department, and our chat operators.
The Department was last headed by Nymala Ingasy.

Forums

TarValon.Net has a number of forums visible to all users. The majority of these are moderated by the Department of Moderators and Operators.

We had several IRC-based chat rooms.
History

The Department was created at the 2007 Admin Meeting.
After the Fall 2020 Executive Meeting it was disbanded, with future moderators and operators moving into the Department of Technology, and Mafia Moderators finding a new home in the Department of Community Outreach as Game Masters.
Positions with the Department

The Department had administrator level position, moderator for the Mafia Forum. Staff positions were Chat Operators, Master of Chat and Forum Moderators.
