Overview

Department of Technology Staff are members of the Department of Technology, which exists to maintain our website and forums.

Department: Department of Technology

Position Level: Staff

Rotation: Non rotating

Merit Eligibility: Staff Merit

Chain of Command

Staff in the Department of Technology report to the Director of Technology.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be available to work on Technology projects as they appear. The time commitment will vary week to week, but you should not expect to spend more than 10-15 hours per week working on any given project.
  • Take care of IT problems and/or projects as they arise.

Expectations

  • Must be trustworthy and organized.
  • Must work well with others, and be able to stay in timely contact with the Director and fellow staff.
  • Must have the time to pitch in and help out with projects, and the availability/tenacity to stick them out once you start them.

Time Commitment

  • Be available to work on Technology issues and projects as they appear.
  • The time commitment will vary week to week, but you should not expect to spend more than 10-15 hours per week working on any given project.

Qualifications

  • Must be a member in good standing with TarValon.Net.
  • Does not necessarily need to be a Senior Member, but long-standing in the community will serve you well.
  • Must be experienced in working with any or all of the following areas: coding (HTML/CSS/jQuery/PHP/etc.), web design, web applications, Drupal, phpBB3, other CMS/forum software.
