Hessalam

Unless stated otherwise, all information herein is taken from A Memory of Light, Prologue.

General

Hessalam is the Forsaken Graendal reborn into a new body. She has a hooked bulbous nose and off-center eyes. When Moghedien sees her for the first time, Hessalam is wearing a yellow dress that only heightens her ugliness. Moghedien thinks the body was probably chosen as punishment as Graendal was obsessed with beauty.

Her name means "without forgiveness" in the Old Tongue and Moridin informs her that even Moghedien is more favored than her now.

Timeline

• She is probably the one who meets with Isam in the Town and orders him to kill Rand.
• She enters into Moridin's dreamshard through a gateway to join the meeting between Moridin, Demandred and Moghedien. When they are told that Mazrim Taim is now the Chosen M'Hael, she is the only one to voice an objection.
