General

Kalia Karede was a woman from Seanchan and Furyk Karede's wife. Together they had three sons, one listed among the honored dead and the other two following their father into the Deathwatch Guard (CoT, Ch. 4). She and the one dead son died in the Great Fire of Sohima (KoD, Ch. 36).

When Almurat Mor, the Seeker for Truth, questions Karede, he says that he thinks she would have been very proud of their two living sons (CoT, Ch. 4).

Even though he is Seanchan, Karede believes he would have let the One Power be used, if he was sure it could have saved his wife (KoD, Ch. 36).

Quotes
