Berelain sur Paendrag Paeron: The First of Mayene. Her full title is Berelain sur Paendrag Paeron, First of Mayene, Blessed of the Light, Defender of the Waves, High Seat of House Paeron. She supports Rand al’Thor. She went with Perrin to Ghealdan and on the return fell for Galad Damodedrid, though is trying to convince herself it is just his connections that interest her.

Bertain Gallenne: The Lord Captain of the Winged Guards. He went with Perrin and Berelain to Ghealdan and with Perrin to the Field of Merillor.

Gendar: A thief-catcher who works for Berelain.

Halvar: A historical character; he was the First of Mayene about three hundred years ago.

Havien Nurelle: A Lord Lieutenant of the Winged Guards. He is Gallenne’s second.

Moradri: An Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah who stayed loyal to Elaida during the split.

Nana: One of Berelain’s maids.

Ortis: A soldier in the Winged Guards.

Rosene: One of Berelain’s maids.

Rubinde: An Aes Sedai of and Sitter for the Green Ajah; she is aligned with Elaida’s Aes Sedai.

Santes: A thief-catcher who works for Berelain.

Tyrn: A historical character; supposedly the grandson of Artur Hawkwing.
