Greetings y’all!

I am so excited about this month’s article!! When the TarValon Times asked for feedback, one of the positives we got was some love for the Member Spotlight. So this month we decided to spotlight TarValon’s very own Spam Queen, the Stalker herself – Raeviendha al'Toma

Naturally, I jumped at the chance to take a stab at the Member Spotlight and interview my fellow Yellow Aspirant.

Raeviendha, or Raevi for short, joined TarValon just over a year ago, in January 2013. She quickly made her mark as the Spammiest Spam Queen, and at the time of this article has almost 11,000 posts. She’s ranked 4th in total post counts!

Naturally I wanted to know if this was her goal? She laughed and said she just has a lot to say, and loves to contribute to discussions and getting to know everyone.

So let’s take a look at the woman behind the spam! In real life, Raevi lives in Fayetteville, Tennessee. She’s been married for 23 years, and has a son who is married and in seminary to become a minister.

It was through her son that Raevi was introduced to the Wheel of Time series. She doesn’t have a favorite book in the series, but loves the Aiel, particularly Aviendha – and as you can guess that makes up her Tower name (her real middle name is Rae). Why Aviendha? “She can kick ass and channel.”

Raevi and her son love discussing the books, and while looking for information, she found TarValon.net. She says she stuck around because she felt very welcomed!

Her favorite thing about TarValon.net is the way people care for each other, and the friends she has made in her time here. Her favorite memory (so far) is the reception she received when she Aspired Yellow. [This writer can attest it was epic!] How did she know Yellow was her home? She said, [when she was guesting] “I discovered I couldn't bear to leave the Yellow Sitting Room. These were definitely my people.“

In addition to the spam, Raevi has contributed in “official” ways as well. She just finished a stint on the Welcoming Committee. She is currently a Library Editor, Moderator in Old Warder and Hen, and a member of the Merits Team – busy lady!

What’s next for Raevi? JordanCon! It will be her first RL event, and I just have to warn you all to be ready: “I am going to MEET ALL THE PEOPLE. That's also what I'm looking forward to most. Oh the hugs that will be given.”

When I asked her for any final thoughts, she expressed her appreciation for all the people who give their time and talents to keep things running smoothly on the site.
