The City

Paaran Disen was the greatest city of the Age of Legends, before the Breaking of the World. It is mentioned to have been the capital city of the land and the seat of the government, and also to have been the "crown jewel" of all the cities (TWoRJTWoT).

It was at Paaran Disen that Lews Therin Telamon had one of his victories against Elan Morin Tedronai (Ishamael). Although Lews Therin defeated Elan Morin at Paaren Disen, Elan Morin did escape (TEotW, Prologue).

Moghedien recalls the Shadow winning a victory at Paaran Disen (TFoH, Ch. 18).

The Hall of the Servants

Located in Paaran Disen was the main Hall of the Servants, the seat of power of the Aes Sedai. It was from the Hall of the Servants that the Aes Sedai were regulated, and where the rules for channeling were created and enforced.

The Hall of the Servants is described to have had "massive columned entrances, large ornate doorways, and polished floors of glowing white elstone" (TWoRJTWoT).

Be'lal is mentioned to have destroyed the Hall of the Servants before Lews Therin Telamon and his Companions could seal the Bore (TDR, Ch. 50).
