They wear a uniform of long white collars hung over mail and plate, with red cloaks and undercoats (TEotW, Ch. 33). Officers wear golden lion head spurs (TGH, Prologue). The battle cry is "Forward the White Lion of Andor" (TWoRJTWoT, Ch. 27).

They are led by the Captain General, previously Gareth Bryne (TEotW, Ch. 35), but now Birgitte (WH, Prologue). During the Aiel War, they were led by Aranvor Naldwinn.
