There are several constellations, mentioned through the books, some of which might resemble or be connected to constellations found in real life. (Theory)


Verin held charts of the night sky in her office (TDR, Ch. 21). When examining them Egwene recognizes the following constellations:

  • The Plowman
  • The Haywain
  • The Archer
  • The Five Sisters

others were unfamiliar.


As a child, Mat used to find it calming to look at the stars and try to name the constellations (LoC, Ch. 22).

Halfway between Maerone and Tear (City), close to the river Erinin, during the later half of the year, Mat sees the following constellations:
