I am deviating from my usual recipes as we are [supposedly] in the hottest months of summer here in the Northern Hemisphere. It’s not a time when people like to use their ovens or stove tops when avoidable. So this month I am sharing drink recipes!

A classic summer drink is an Arnold Palmer: half tea and half lemonade. For the alcoholic version I have found a yummy sweet tea vodka by Deep Eddy that is amazing! I suggest a 1:2 ratio of vodka to lemonade, but definitely make it to your taste. (They also make a great lemon vodka and a ruby red grapefruit vodka.)

Many people know that I have a love of chocolate, and my favorite martini has long been the chocolate martini made with Godiva light, Godiva dark, and vodka ('cause it is Godiva!). However, I have found an even better “light” chocolate in 360 Double Chocolate vodka! Mmmm, the variations are now endless and creamy. With the chocolate vodka and the Godiva dark, one could use Bailey's to lighten the drink. Or, alternatively, Godiva dark, 360 chocolate, and vanilla vodka. Still amazing. Shaken and poured in a martini glass and garnished with whipped cream and/or chocolate shavings... perfect!

What are you favorite summer drinks? Alcoholic or non?
