==Who am I==

Updated for your convenience on 15th of September in 2009.

I'm Rij. I was born in July in 1975, making me 34 years old at the moment, might be more by the time you read this since I might not update. I'm a librarian in real life, currently working in a teenytiny library in the boonies of Finland. I'm a city girl at heart and am looking forward to spending my first winter in the countryside, since I just moved here in the spring. I live alone, am decidedly single and like it that way.

I've been a member here for a long time, I forgot my exact join date, but it has been more than six years and I've been a Brown Aes Sedai for most of that time. I've been to many gatherings in Europe but not so much in recent years because of financial reasons.

I'm a serious bookaholic. Recently I've also discovered manga which was a real addiction for me last winter. I buy more books than I read. I also do some crafts and spend a lot of time online at various forums.

==Why are you not __ Ajah?==

Not only didn't I partake in the guesting process, the other ajahs I considered back then have changed a lot, so the reasons I didn't go with them wouldn't be valid today. The browns have changed too, as have I, but since I've been changing with Brown it doesn't bother me.

The ajahs I considered all those years ago were Blue and Red. I decided quite soon that I wouldn't feel at home with the Blues and since I liked the idea of bonding some day the final decision was Brown. Looking back, I can't imagine why I considered anything else other than Brown. Even though I still have a huge Red streak, I am Brown.

Rijomu Sezain, Senior Member Interview, January 29th 2008

What is your Tower name?

Rijomu Sezain

When were you raised to Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah?

I don't remember exactly, in 2002 I think.

Why did you choose Brown?

I am so Brown. It just suited me the best and was the only ajah I seriously considered.

Are you like the Browns in the Books?

Depends on which book brown we're talking about.

Do you love books and do you daydream a lot?

I love books. A lot. But I don't think that I daydream more than usual.

How was your time as Citizen/Novice/Accepted?

I never was a citizen, I'm that old. Novicehood, all couple of weeks of it, flew by. I got stuck at accepted level for a year though and loved it.

How long have you been a member of TV.net?

Long, long time. I think I joined in the beginning of 2001.

What things do you do for TV.net?

I contribute in the forums. I've also arranged an official gathering, Euro Party 2004.

How did you get to read the Series?

My brother had bought the first four books and recommended them to me. So I loaned his books and got addicted. Then his books gradually moved into my room. He stopped reading them around book six but I've kept going.

Who is your mentee, if you have one?

I don't have mentees now, but I have mentored a couple of girls in the past.

Who is your favorite character of the Series? Favorite Nation?

Favourite character has got to be Verin Sedai. I couldn't name a favourite nation, they all have their good and bad points.

Have you ever attended any Real Life Functions? Did you like them if you did, and why? (Why do you think people should come to any future functions?)

I've been to quite a few. Official and unofficial. I love them, they're real fun, a good excuse to travel abroad and meet interesting people. As if I needed an excuse to do that.

What job do you have?

I'm a librarian between library jobs. Currently I'm studying and working part time doing phone surveys.

Do you have a pet?

Do dust bunnies count?

What languages do you speak?

Finnish is my native language. I'm fluent in English, passable in Swedish. I'm learning Finnish Sign Language. I used to know the basics of Spanish and Russian but have forgotten most of them.

What profession did you want to have when you were a kid?

An artist.
