General
Sakarnen is a powerful sa'angreal in the shape of a golden scepter with an hourglass or gobled affixed atop it. Demandred claims to have bonded it to him. No one can use Power drawn through it against him or they will be burned from the Pattern (AMoL, Ch. 37).
It is now frozen inside one of the crystals created by Egwene (AMoL, Ch. 41). It may be lost now, because Logain thinks the area in which it was found will collapse soon (AMoL, Ch. 43).
Appearances and Uses
- Demandred appears with it on the Heights and destroys some dragons with it. After hearing that Taim failed to kill Egwene, he offers him Sakarnen to finish the deed (AMoL, Ch. 37).
- Taim uses it against Egwene, but is crystallized with it when she uses the Flame of Tar Valon (AMoL, Ch. 37).
- Desautel finds Sakarnen inside a large crystal (AMoL, Ch. 43).
