  • When were you raised to Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah?

Monday. Ok, June 27, 2011.

  • Why did you choose Yellow?

I felt most comfortable with the Yellow Ajah. I knew from the moment I started guesting there that it would be my home. I tried leaving, but I came back a week later.

  • Are you like the Yellows in the Books?

I suppose I might be. Although Nynaeve is my least favorite character.

  • Do you care for people and love to heal things?

Of course! I have my Master's degree in Counseling. So I like to heal more in the mental sense, rather than the physical one.

  • How was your time as Citizen/Novice/Accepted?

I had so much fun!! Not long after I joined, it was "free week" with the Seanchan Invasion. That was a blast (even though I died before it was all over). I was just a Citizen at the time, but I think that whole activity really made me feel like I was part of the community. As a Novice, I enjoyed participating in the feast days (especially Shaoman), and getting to know the ladies in my dorm. Being a Novice was lots of fun, and even earned me the nickname "Dama", thanks to a particular post in Project Gaidin. As an Accepted, I enjoyed being able to guest, and to spend more time with the Yellows in their sitting room. My time as Accepted just seemed to fly by!

  • How long have you been a member of TV.net?

As of this writing, 46 weeks and 5 days (I joined on August 6, 2010).

  • What things do you do for TV.net?

Let's see...I write for the Tar Valon Times, I'm a forum moderator, a member of the OA team, and the Yellow Sunshine. Whew!

  • How did you get to read the Series?

I have a friend that adores the books, and he'd been pestering me to read for a while. I finally picked them up, and couldn't put them down!

  • To whom are you bonded, if you're bonded?

Not bonded...yet.

  • Who is your favorite character of the Series? Favorite Nation?

I love Moiraine and Perrin.

  • Have you ever attended any Real Life Functions? Did you like them if you did, and why? (Why do you think people should come to any future functions?)

I haven't had the chance to attend any yet.

  • What kind of music do you like?

Depends on my mood...Soft rock, oldies, something I can crank up and dance around to.

  • What are your favorite movies?

I love comedies. Nothing beats a good laugh.

  • What is the craziest/stupidest thing you've ever done?

Does writing "Yellow" on my chest with chocolate count?

  • What job do you have?

I just got hired as a high school counselor.

  • Do you have a pet?

Yes, a lab/bloodhound mix named Hunter.

  • What languages do you speak?

English, and a bit of Spanish (not enough to hold a conversation, but I can ask where the bathroom is)

  • What profession did you want to have when you were a kid?

When I started band in Grade 6, I wanted to play the french horn in the New York Philharmonic.

I really hate these. I'm a mom to two wonderful kids and a dog. I have my Master's in Counseling, and a Bachelor's in Family and Consumer Science (home ec). I love helping people any way that I can, although sometimes I end up being a doormat. I spend a lot of time on the computer, and love to search for freebies or enter contests. I find all sorts of stuff online. I like listening to other people talk, and am always willing to lend an ear, even if I don't have any advice. I get sad when I see people hurting or upset, especially when I can't "fix" it. Yes, I probably bleed Yellow. That's about all I can think of at the moment.
