Tar Valon is a big city spread on an island on the river Erinin. One can reach the city only by one of the six bridges, three on the west and three on the east side of the city.

Tar Valon houses the White Tower, the seat of the Aes Sedai, and is ruled by the Amyrlin Seat, the head of the Aes Sedai.

Next to the island, a huge mountain is looming over the city – Dragonmount, the place where it is prophesied that the Dragon will be reborn.

The city was built by Ogier builders some time after the Breaking. Ogier have also built the White Tower, a magnificent piece of stone masonry, taking the breath of each person who sees it for the first time.

Tar Valon is a multinational city, all types of cultures can be seen inside its walls. There are all types of crafts, foods, services.
