Tower Organisation

General

Currently, TarValon.net is organized into nine departments. The Heads of these Departments plus the Amyrlin Seat (CEO), the Keeper of the Chronicles (COO), the Assistant to the Amyrlin and the Asssitant to the Keeper form the Executive Branch.

Departments

Department of Administration

Main article: Department of Administration

The Department of Administration oversees general administrative duties, and includes positions such as treasurer, legal counsel and the administrative assistants. The department is currently headed by Arisaema Draconis.

Department of Membership

The Department of Membership oversees the community administrators, such as the Heads of Ajah and Company Commanders, as well as the Hall. This department takes care of all membership issues. The department is currently headed by Serenla Tamowith.

Department of Technology

The Department of Technology takes care of all technological issues, including the running of the message boards and the main site. The department is currently headed by Zarene din Narelle.

Department of Community Development

The Department of Community Development oversees the events that take place online at TarValon.Net, including holiday celebrations and games. They also oversee our Guilds. The department is currently headed by Yelenia Hylraren.

Department of Research

The Department of Research oversees the Tower Library and the Tower Histories, as well as the book forums and the Classroom. The department is currently headed by Toral Delvar.

Department of Communication

The Department of Communication is in charge of aspects of the site such as the main news page and the publication of the Tar Valon Times. The department is currently headed by Ninya Evoneigh.

Department of Moderators

The Department of Moderators oversees the moderation of the message boards and chat rooms. The department is currently headed by Calypsa.

Department of Events and Conferences

The Department of Events and conferences oversees and organises all our official real life events. The Department is currently headed by Serinia Edoras

Department of Philanthropy

The Department of Philanthropy focuses on our fundraisers, Servant of All Competition and philanthropic efforts.

Organisation History

As TarValon.net has expanded over the years, the structure has repeatedly changed to cope with this. Initially, these changes were performed as deemed necessary, but today, we have a yearly Admin Meeting where the directors discuss any changes that need to be made to the departmental structure, or any other changes and make them accordingly.
