Tyrn was the grandson of Artur Hawkwing through whom the Firsts of Mayene claim descent from Artur Hawkwing. There is no actual historical evidence that any children or grandchildren of Hawkwing survived him. On the other hand, given the turbulent state of affairs after Hawkwing's death, it is possible that any surviving family would have been hidden for their own safety.
