The Watchers over the Waves, in the Old Tongue Do Miere A'vron, were a community on Toman Head, who possesed towers on the very tip, overlooking the cliffs into the harbor (TGH, Ch. 29). They were mentioned in both Dark Prophecy (TGH, Ch. 7) and in the prophecies of the Dragon as M'avron (TGH, Ch. 32). When the Seanchan arrive, they hang the Watchers from cages, for not watching for the right thing (TGH, Ch. 29)
