Aringill is a town in [[Andor]] ({{tdr|32}}), lying on the opposite coast of the [[Erinin]] ({{tdr|30}}) from [[Maerone]], which it is larger than ({{loc|1}}, though the maps in the books show it as being outside Andor's borders, just after the [[Alguenya]] merges with it. The town is walled ({{loc|5}}) and the main streets are paved with flat, grey stones and the buildings of every sort, wood and brick and stone all cheek by jowl, with roofs of tile, or slate, or thatch ({{tdr|40}}). When [[Mat]] passes through the town to deliver [[Elayne]]'s letter to [[Morgase]], it is full of refugees from [[Cairhien]] ({{tdr|40}}.  After seeing Morgase and [[Gaebril]], Mat and [[Thom]] return to Aringill to journey to [[Tear]].
