Berowyn al'Vere is Egwene's eldest sister. Her parents are Bran and Marin al'Vere, and her other sisters are Elisa, Loise and Alene.
She lost her husband and child to the breakbone fever in the fall and moved back to Emond's Field in the spring. She wants to dress Egwene and comb her hair, because she sees her lost child in her.
She was present at the annual sheep shearing.
She was allowed to braid her hair at the age of sixteen.
