Jahar Narishma: A man from Arafel; he is an Asha’man who follows Rand. He is bonded to Merise Haindehl of the Green Ajah. He attends the meeting with Tuon and accompanies Rand to the failed meeting with the Borderlanders.

Jaichim Carridin: One of the Children of the Light; he is a Questioner.

Jailin Maran: A nobleman from Andor. He supported Elenia Sarand for the throne.

Jaim: A man who fought for Lan during the Aiel War.

Jaim Adarra: The captain of the ship Snow Goose.

Jaim Aybara: A boy from the Two Rivers, Andor. He is related to Perrin Aybara.

Jaim Dawtry: A man from the Two Rivers, Andor.

Jaim Thane: A boy from the Two Rivers, Andor.

Jaim Torfinn: A man from the Two Rivers, Andor in training at the Black Tower.

Jain Charin: A man who is almost legendary in his exploits. He wrote “The Travels of Jain Farstrider.” He was presumed killed in the Tower of Ghenjei while posting as Noal charin.

Jair: An Aiel woman; she is of the Daryne clan. Her husband is Mandelain and her sister-wife is Corehuin.

Jaisi: A woman from Baerlon, Andor.

Jak Masond: A man who went to the Black Tower but cannot learn to channel. He is a member of the army that Rand put together of all such men.

Jak: A man who lives in Four Kings, Andor. He works at The Dancing Cartman inn.

Jakob Hernvil: A man from Andor. He works for Arymilla Marne.

Jala Bandevin: An Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah; she is aligned with Elaida’s Aes Sedai.

Jalanda son of Ariad son of Coiam: An Ogier author.

Jalani: An Aiel woman; she is a Maiden of the Spear and is a follower of Rand.

Jalid Magonine: A man from Seanchan.

Jalindin: A woman from Seanchan; she is a Seeker.

Jalwin Moerad: A historical character; he managed to gain the ear of Artur Hawkwing and manipulated him. He is thought by some scholars to have been Ishamael.

Jame: Jame is a Seanchan man who works as a guard at the Yearly Brawl and is also married to its owner Kathana.

Jameine: A woman who works in Valan Luca’s menagerie.

Jamilila Norsish: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah who wasn't on Verin's list but who hadn't proven herself to not be of the Black Ajah.

Jan: A woman from Baerlon, Andor. She is one of Min’s aunts.

Janata, Martine:

Jancy Torfinn: A young woman from Emond’s Field in the Two Rivers, Andor. She can channel and is taken from the Two Rivers by Alanna Mosvani and Verin Mathwin.

Jander Parentakis: A scientist at the School in Cairhien.

Janduin: Janduin is one of Aviendha and Rand's children.

Janduin: An Aiel man; he was of the Iron Mountain sept and was clan chief of the Taardad Aiel. He is Rand al’Thor’s father. He was killed by Luc Mantear.

Janevor, Kelwin:

Janina: An Aiel woman; she is a Wise One. She is a supporter of Rand, and accompanies Perrin when he travels to Ghealdan.

Janine Pavlara: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah; she is aligned with Elaida’s Aes Sedai. She was captured at the battle of Dumai’s Wells and has since sworn fealty to Rand al’Thor.

Janira: A woman from Saldaea; she was one of the Kin. She was killed by the gholam.

Janny: A woman from Andor. She works for Elenia Sarand.

Janwin: An Aiel man; he is the clan chief of the Shiande Aiel. He supports Rand.

Janya Frende: An Aes Sedai of and Sitter for the Brown Ajah; she is aligned with the rebel Aes Sedai.

Jaq Lounalt: A man from Tarabon who was previously Arymilla Marne's personal questioner. He was killed trying to help the Black Ajah captives escape from the Royal Palace dungeons in Caemlyn.

Jar Silvin: A man from Kore Springs, Andor.

Jara Doweel: A woman from the Black Hills.

Jared Aydaer: A man from the Two Rivers, Andor. He was killed by Trollocs.

Jaren: A historical character; he was one of the Jenn Aiel.

Jarene: A girl from Kandor. She is one of Queen Ethenielle’s daughters.

Jaret Byar: One of the Children of the Light with an intense hatred of Perrin. He was killed by his friend Dain Bornhald while trying to attack Perrin

Jargen: A Sergeant in Heeth Tower in Kandor

Jaric Mondoran: A historical character; he was a male Aes Sedai.

Jarid Sarand: The High Seat of the Andoran House Sarand. He is married to Elenia Sarand.

Jaril: A boy from Ghealdan; he and his brother Seve are orphans.

Jarna Malari: An Aes Sedai of and Sitter for the Gray Ajah. She was the Head of the Black Ajah until she was killed by Ishamael.

Jarr: A mercenary who joins Perrin.

Jasfer Anan: A man from Ebou Dar, Altara. He is married to Setalle Anan. Jasin Natael: See Asmodean.

Jasmen: A novice in the White Tower who Egwene recruits to help defend against the Seanchan attack.

Javindhra Doraille: An Aes Sedai of and Sitter for the Red Ajah. She goes to the Black Tower to look for Asha'man to bond and while there undergoes a personality change

Jeaine Caide: An Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah; she is also a member of the Black Ajah. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

Jearom: A historical character; he was a great swordsman.

Jen: A man who works in the Tarasin Palace in Ebou Dar, Altara.

Jenare: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah; she is aligned with Elaida’s Aes Sedai. She is one of the Aes Sedai sent with Toveine to capture the Black Tower, but is instead captured herself and forcibly bonded by Welyn Kajima.

Jendhilin: An Aiel woman of the Cold Peak sept of the Miagoma Aiel. She is a Maiden of the Spear. She is killed in Cairhien.

Jennet (1): A noblewoman from Murandy. She thinks of becoming a novice with the Salidar Aes Sedai.

Jennet (2): An Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah; she is aligned with the rebel Aes Sedai. She is one of the spies who are sent back to the White Tower to spread rumors of Logain and the Red Ajah. She is discovered by Doesine, Pevara, Saerin, Seaine and Yukiri and has to swear an oath to obey them.

Jenric: An Aiel man. He follows Rand al’Thor.

Jeorad Manyard: A historical character; he was on of Artur Hawkwing’s governors.

Jeordam: A historical character; one of the Aiel.

Jeordwyn Semaris: A man from Illian. He is a member of the Council of Nine.

Jeorg Damentanis: A man from Illian.

Jera: A woman who lives in Madern, Altara. She works at the an inn called The White Ring.

Jeral Florry: A man from Aringill, Andor. He owns The Good Queen Inn.

Jeral: A Whitecloak.

Jerasid: A man from the Two Rivers, Andor. He accompanies Perrin out of the Two Rivers.

Jerid Najima: A boy who lives in Kandor. He was one Moiraine’s list of possibilities for the Dragon Reborn.

Jerilin al'Caar: A girl from Emond’s Field in the Two Rivers, Andor. She can channel and is taken from the Two Rivers by Alanna Mosvani and Verin Mathwin.

Jerinvar Barstere: A man from Watch Hill in the Two Rivers, Andor. He is the Mayor.

Jerum Nus: A member of the Children of the Light wounded in the battle where Trollocs attacked the Whitecloak camp on the Jehannah Road.

Jesain: An Aiel woman of the Shaido clan. She is a Wise One.

Jesamyn: Jessamin is a member of the Kin who was left in Caemlyn along with three other women to give reports to Elayne on the situation there. She was murdered

Jesse Bilal: An Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah; she is aligned with Elaida’s Aes Sedai. She is also the Head of her Ajah. She and the other Ajah leaders decide to raise Egwene to replace Elaida.

Jestian Redhill: A historical Aes Sedai.

Jethari Moondancer: A former life of Birgitte

Jezrail: An Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah; she is aligned with Elaida’s Aes Sedai.

Jheran: An Aiel man of the Shaarad clan. He is the clan chief. He supports Rand al’Thor.

Jhondar, Eldrith:

Jhoradin: An Aiel man. He was one of the Mera’din and joined with the Shaido. He fell in love with Lacile Aldorwin when she was captured by the Shaido, and died helping her and the others escape.

Jidar: A man from Saldaea. He is a soldier.

Jillari: A damane from Seanchan. She has since been freed, but has a long way to go before her damane mannerisms are removed.

Jillie Lewin: A woman from Emond’s Field in the Two Rivers, Andor.

Jillien: A woman who was staying at the Kin’s farm near Ebou Dar. When the Kin leave for Andor with Elayne, she accompanies them.

Jimar Chubain: The High Captain of the Tower Guard.

Jini: A damane from Seanchan. She is owned by Lady Morsa.

Jinjin: A damane. She was owned by Suroth.

Jisao Hamora: One of Gawyn’s Younglings. After the Tower is reunited he is chosen as a Warder

Joal Ramedar: A historical character; he was a king of Aldeshar during the Free Years.

Joana: A historical character; one of Birgitte’s names in another life.

Joao: A Shienaran who joins Lan Joar Addam Nessossin: See Asmodean.

Joelin: A Whitecloak. He is killed, likely by Padan Fain.

Johanin: A former king of Ghealdan. He was killed by Masema.

Joinde: An Aiel woman of the Black Rock sept of the Shaarad Aiel. She was a Maiden of the Spear before she married Garan.

Joiya al'Thor: The name of Egwene’s daughter in the Three Arches of the Accepted Test.

Joiya Byir: An Aes Sedai of the White Ajah; she is also Black Ajah. She leaves the Tower with Liandrin, and is later captured and killed in the Stone of Tear.

Jol: A man from Cairhien. He works for Kin Tovere.

Jolien: An Aiel woman of the Salt Flat sept of the Nakai Aiel. She is a Maiden of the Spear. She is killed in Cairhien.

Joline Maza: An Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah; she is aligned with Elaida’s Aes Sedai. She is bonded to Blaeric Negina and Fen Mizar. She is nearly captured as a damane in Ebou Dar, but Mat manages to get her out safely.

Jom: A historical character; he lived during the Age of Legends.

Jon: A man from Jarra, Ghealdan. He is married to Rilith.

Jon Ayellin: A man from the Two Rivers, Andor. He accompanies Tam al’Thor when he goes to help Perrin free Faile from the Shaido.

Jon Gaellin: A man from the Two Rivers, Andor. He is with Perrin's army

Jon Skellit: A man who works in the Royal Palace in Caemlyn, Andor. He was employed as a spy for Naean Arawn, but when this is found out, Reene Harfor makes him spy for Elayne as well.

Jon Thane: A man from Emond’s Field in the Two Rivers, Andor.

Jonai: A historical character; he was one of the Da’shain Aiel.

Jonan Adley: An Asha’man. He died while fighting the Seanchan.

Jonasim: A historical Saldaean ruler

Jondyn Barran: A man from the Two Rivers, Andor. He accompanies Perrin out of the Two Rivers.

Joni Shagrin: A man who lives in Kore Springs, Andor. He is one of Gareth Bryne’s men.

Jonneth Dowtry: A man from the Two Rivers who is recruited to the Black Tower by Mazrim Taim.

Jorin din Jubai White Wing: One of the Atha’an Miere. She is the Windfinder of her sister, Coine’s ship, the Wavedancer.

Jorlen Corbesan: An Aes Sedai in the Age of Legends. He was able to make ter'angreal and ran the research facility of the Sharom.

Jorshem (1): An Aiel known by Malidra.

Jorshem (2): A Clan Chief in one of Aviendha's visions through the Glass Columns

Josaine: An Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah; she is aligned with Elaida’s Aes Sedai. She is killed during the Seanchan raid.

Josef Najima: A man from Kandor. He was married to Jurine Najima. He was killed during the Aiel War.

Joslyn Aybara: A woman from the Two Rivers, Andor. She was married to Con Aybara and was the mother of Perrin, Adora, Deselle and Paetram Aybara. She was killed by Padan Fain.

Jowdry: A man killed by the gholam.

Juendan: An Ogier woman.

Juilaine Madome: An Aes Sedai of and Sitter for the Brown Ajah; she is aligned with Elaida’s Aes Sedai.

Juilin Sandar: A man from Tear. He first travels from Tear with Elayne and Nynaeve, then from Salidar with Mat, eventually leaving him for the White Tower.

Juin son of Lacel son of Laud: An Ogier; he is from Stedding Tsofu.

Julanya Fote: One of the Kin. She accompanies Elayne and the others to Andor.
