Dormin was captured by the Shaido and made into a gai'shain. He later swore fealty to Faile. As Faile prepares to make her escape from Malden with Alliandre, Maighdin, Arrela and Lacile, Dormin and many of the others who are sworn to Faile gather to say goodbye to her. Faile promises that she will return to rescue them all, and thinks to herself that if her father will not give her an army to help her keep her promise, then Perrin will.
