Dragon Con 2002 was a fantastic event, celebrating both the international collective of lovers of everything sci/fi and fantasy; and also the gathering of a small, intimate group of new friends meeting in many cases for the first time.

Friday involved many meetings. I first met the eclectic group of Jorryn, Valorian, and Amaria, soon to be followed by Eleyan. Upon joining with the other ten or so people to attend the convention, we checked out several seminars and retired to our hotel rooms to meet Lyssandra and Oskana, and enjoy a time of laughter and togetherness.

Saturday saw more fun at the con, with a costume contest in the WoT room. That night, the collected Tower group went out to eat at a wonderful Atlanta steakhouse.

This pattern continued through Sunday, with pool parties and various outings. All ended on Monday with a wonderfully quiet and pleasant luncheon at the Hard Rock Cafe with the remaining Tower members, including Eleyan, Morni, Valorian, and some others.

All in all, it was a weekend celebrating everything fantasy, everything science fiction, and everything good about friendship and fellowship.
