Amyrlin Seat: [Gaidin], Summon our candidate for raising.

Gaidin: to [Soldier] You are hereby summoned to be raised. They stand next to the applicant and bring them to their feet if they were sitting.

Amyrlin Seat: Who comes here?

Gaidin: [Soldier], a Soldier of the Tower.

Amyrlin Seat: For what reason do they come?

Gaidin: To swear their oaths to the Tower and thereby claim the duties of Gaidin.

Amyrlin Seat: By what right do they claim this duty?

Gaidin: By right of having made the passage, submitting themselves to the will of the White Tower.

Amyrlin Seat: Then enter, if you dare, and swear your oaths to the White Tower.

[Gaidin] brings them forward and has them kneel before the Amyrlin. They are handed the Heron Marked sword on which to make their Oaths.

Amyrlin Seat: Repeat after me.

Under the Light and by my hope of salvation and rebirth, I vow to honor my word.

Under the Light and by my hope of salvation and rebirth, I vow that I will not use my strength against another Brother or Sister, but to come to their aid when they have need of it.

Under the Light and by my hope of salvation and rebirth, I vow to defend the Tower and its people, so that the walls of Tar Valon may never fall.

Amyrlin Seat: It is half done, and your oaths are yours to carry. Rise now, Gaidin, and choose your Company, and all will be done that may be done under the Light.

The Soldier/new Gaidin moves towards their Company of choice.

Gaidin: Welcome home Brother/Sister. We have waited long for you.
