The Jangai Pass is one of the passes through the Spine of the World, connecting Cairhien and the Aiel Waste just south of Kinslayer's Dagger. On the Cairhienin side, a wind weathered snake entwining a staff three hundred spans high can be seen just before Taien. Higher up on the other side, are apparently the remnants of docks. According to Asmodean, these may be the remains of Shorelle (TFoH, Ch. 20). It is likely that it was through the Jangai Pass that the Aiel first entered the Waste (TSR, Ch. 55).
