Laithean Al'Grifendora, Senior Member Interview, January 29th 2008

What is your Tower name?

Laithean Al'Grifendora

When were you raised to Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah?

I was lucky enough to be raised at the Anni Party in 2006!

Why did you choose Brown?

I chose Brown because I had many friends in the Brown Ajah, and I felt that I fit in there very well. They were welcoming and fun, and I knew that I could be honest and myself with these women without ever feeling awkward.

Are you like the Browns in the Books?

LOL, sometimes, but not usually. I don't wear rumpled clothes, or study history a lot, but I do have a tendency to brow out once in a while.

Do you love books and do you daydream a lot?

I love to learn about lots of different things, and every time I move my books are the first thing unpacked! As far as daydreaming... Not really. I do talk to myself and forget where I put things all the time.

How was your time as Citizen/Novice/Accepted?

I had a great time as a Novice and Accepted. I was lucky enough to be given a mentor who lived only 20 min from me and so I lived a RL version of being a Novice and Accepted. It was fun.

How long have you been a member of TV.net?

Is it shameful that I don't remember? I think almost two years now.

What things do you do for TV.net?

Hmmm... I helped make several gowns and masks for members going to the 2006 Anni Party, and I am a member of the Brown Ajah trying to make others feel welcome and comfortable at TV.net.

How did you get to read the Series?

I have always read fantasy novels, and I needed something new to read. I went to the book store and just browsed the shelves. I found EotW and read the back. I thought it sounded interesting. After that I was hooked and had to read the whole series.

To whom are you bonded, if you're bonded?

Sadly I am not bonded. I have not found that certain someone who I feel close enough to.

Who is your mentee, if you have one?

I do not have a mentee :(

Who is your favorite character of the Series? Favorite Nation?

That is a tough one. I think my favorite character was Min until she went all Rand obsessed. I don't have a favorite nation... they all have their interesting quips.

Have you ever attended any Real Life Functions? Did you like them if you did, and why? (Why do you think people should come to any future functions?)

I went to the biggest Anni Party EVER! We had soooo many people there. Over 100 I think. It was the 2006 Anni party, I am not sure if the 2007 party was bigger or not, but either way it was amazing! I recommended that everyone try to make it to a RL function. It is so wonderful to meet the memebers in RL.

What kind of music do you like?

I listen to alternative mostly.

What are your favorite movies?

I love the A&E version of Pride and Prejudice. It is 5 hours long, but it is great!

Do you have a pet?

I have two cats. Ceilidh and Geilynn.

What languages do you speak?

Just English. I took a little French in high school, but the only thing I remember is the alphabet, numbers to 10, how to say "I don't speak French", how to say "where is the bathroom?", and how to say "I love you".

What profession did you want to have when you were a kid?

I wanted to be an actress. I still would love to be an actress, but it is very unlikely to happen.

A short bio about yourself.

I am 25 and I live in Minnesota. I am single, but I have two cats to keep me company. I love to read, paint, and sew.
