Summary

Nynaeve's Point of View:

Location: Salidar

Characters: Nynaeve, Logain, Sheriam, Myrelle, Siuan, Leane

Nynaeve had managed to shield Logain after Healing him. She tied him to his chair with Air, too. She had sent Elayne for Sheriam instead, more than ten Aes Sedai arrive, Sheriam and Myrelle amongst them. Nobody believes Nynaeve's claim, but six Aes Sedai take control of the shield whilst Myrelle and Sheriam take her away.

A crowd of followers is acquired when the two Aes Sedai nearly drag Nynaeve off to the Little Tower. All the followers are of the Yellow Ajah. As they enter the Little Tower, the sisters get Nynaeve angry enough to channel - then push Siuan and Leane into the room. Nynaeve Heals them both. As a murmur rises amongst the Aes Sedai, Nynaeve expects praise - instead, they are speaking of how to further improve the Healing. The Accepted is shocked.

As talk turns to Logain, Sheriam suggests that Nynaeve leave - they are debating whether to gentle him again or not - and she does. Elayne meets her as she leaves, apologizing for blurting everything out before realizing that Sheriam had not been alone. From all sides, just then, Aes Sedai begin swooping upon Nynaeve, talking about the weave she had just discovered and her block - each claims that they had got to her first.

Siuan's Point of View:

Location: Salidar

Characters: Siuan, Leane, Gareth Bryne

Siuan is amidst the Aes Sedai in the Little Tower; everyone hugs her as though welcoming her home. She spots Gareth Bryne, and moves to talk to him. She tells him that she is Aes Sedai again, and that she should not have to do his laundry any more. For emphasis, she tries to lift him with Air - and realizes she is too weak to do it. A moment later, she feels tears welling up, and tells Gareth to go. She moves down the hall, then bursts into tears, realizing that is is because of the death of her Warder - killed when she was deposed. The pain that was buried by stilling had resurfaced. She notices Leane standing over her and, after speaking of dealing with the death of one's Warder, they go to do battle with the Hall - after all, if they are Aes Sedai again, are they not Amyrlin and Keeper, too?

Elayne's Point of View:

Location: Salidar

Characters: Nynaeve, Siuan, Leane, Elayne

Elayne is in her room when Nynaeve bursts in, complaining how the Yellow sisters had worn her out completely. A few moments later, Leane and Siuan enter with food for Nynaeve - she had had only a roll for dinner.

Very soon, they realize why Leane and Siuan are being so kind - they want Nynaeve to Heal them again to make them stronger in the Power, because they stand rather low in terms of hierarchy now.

Nynaeve insists that she cannot, and asks what was discussed at the meeting between the Wise Ones and Sitters instead. They were told of Elaida's embassy to Rand.

Siuan and Leane leave after they declare each other friends - in the morning, the two Aes Sedai arrive before Nynaeve had woken. She tries to Heal them again - but what has already been Healed cannot be Healed again.

Delana's Point of View:

Location: Salidar

Characters: Delana, Halima, Miesa

Delana is speaking with Siuan. She promises to get Siuan a dream ter'angreal so she can meet with the Wise Ones. Siuan leaves after that.

A moment later, a novice by the name of Miesa says that a woman by the name of Halima is in Salidar, and claims to know her. The mysterious woman enters, making a sign with her hand, and Delana says that she does indeed know the woman, sending the novice away.

Halima knows that Delana is of the Black Ajah, and she tells her a made up story - which required the death of a sister as the grain of truth in it. Delana is against the idea of Halima posing as her secretary, but all Halima has to do to scare Delana is say one name, a name Halima uses sometimes - Aran'gar.
