General
Merits were introduced in 2010 and are intended as rewards for continued and dedicated service to TarValon.Net.
Merits currently fall under 9 categories and there are 38 different types available. 9 of them are non-eligible for Gold, and 9 are non-eligible for Silver. They are all listed on the Merit Badges page.
Awarding
Merits are awarded every three months, 4 times per year in total: in January, in April, in July, and in October. The one responsible for awarding merits is the Archivist. After the newly awarded merits are announced on the forums, the editing stage begins.
Editing Who's Who Pages
One each individual person's page, there is a heading Merits, under which all of the merit badges should be included.
