Who is Sa'areah?

In real life, Sa'areah is an editor. She freelances, but is in the process of setting her own editing company back up. She joined TarValon.Net back in November of 2006. During her time here, she has contributed to the site through a variety of administrative and staff positions. She's helped with editing in the library and with archiving, and has been the Gleemen's Guildmistress. She's held the positions of Heart, Sitter, and Head of the Yellow Ajah. Sa'areah is also well known to those who attend real life events -- she hasn't missed a Winter Euro since 2007.

Head of the Yellow Ajah

Way back when, during Sa'areah's guesting time, she was drawn to both the Yellow and Red Ajahs. She felt that she had the qualities of both Ajahs, and it was a hard decision to pick one over the other. The only way she was able to figure out which was her true home was to ask herself which one she couldn't leave.

As the current Head of the Yellow Ajah, Sa'areah feels honoured. "It's a wonderful job, and a fantastic experience for me to share everything I have with my Sisters, and with the site as a whole. I feel truly able to love and care for and heal others in a role that is stereotyped to do just that. I really love it all."

To Sa'areah, the Yellow Ajah is a place where a group of diverse people can be together through a shared need to help others. It doesn't have to be medical; it can just be the ability to make people laugh, or the willingness to give people a good shoulder to cry on. She feels that the Yellows are passionate, and want to help make a difference in the world one small step at a time.

A Bonding Story

To many people, bonding is a special connection between people. The flavor of that connection varies from group to group. To Sa'areah, her bond with Adoen is very special.

I first spoke to him in CE, when I was really suffering in my life. I realised that I shouldn't have been on the internet, nevermind in CE, but these things happen. He said something, I can't even remember what it was now, but I called him out for it. I logged off in anger, but apologised to him in a PM the next day. I don't even know what possessed me to fully explain myself with the apology, but it was the best thing for me, because he understood, and we connected through that.

It's now been 2 and a half years since I called him an obnoxious bastard. I kinda regret those words, but without them I wouldn't have had the most wonderful time. Every day we speak, he still makes me smile, and when I'm down he puts his own problems aside to help with mine. I'm glad he let me into his life, to share his every day with me and allow me to try and heal him when he's ill, or just needing someone to be there.

Like the scene from Mulan II:

"The blossoms reach for the sunlight above, yet, unseen, the roots reach for the rainwater below. Sun and rain. So different, yet only by working together do they create harmony and life.

I know, the lesson of yin and yang."

I feel that we are that yin and yang. We're different, but together we've never been stronger.

I truly am blessed to have him as my Warder.

Thank you so much for allowing us to tell the people of TarValon.Net about you, Sa'areah! You are a truly awesome individual.
