Modrellein was an Andoran Queen who lived seven hundred years ago.
At the Battle of Cuallen Dhen, when the Andorans were driven back, Queen Modrellein rode alone and unarmed into the midst of the Tairen army, carrying the Banner of Andor. The Andormen attacked once more to save her and won.
Elayne tells Egwene that the Queen of Andor is expected to be courageous, like Queen Modrellein.
