General

Paet al'Caar is a man from Emond's Field in the Two Rivers, Andor who joined the mob wanting Moiraine to leave the village, even after she Healed his son. After she told them the tale of Manetheren, he was ashamed of his behavior (TEotW, Ch. 9). In Nynaeve's Accepted Test vision, he spoke against Malena Aylar and his sons both died that week. He hanged himself after his wife blamed him (TGH, Ch. 23).

He is lantern jawed (TSR, Ch. 56).

Timeline

  • He joins the mob wanting Moiraine out of Emond's Field (TEotW, Ch. 9).
  • He takes part in the final defense of Emond's Field when the Trollocs attack, wielding a spear (TSR, Ch. 56).

Relationships

He has two sons, one of which is Wil (TEotW, Ch. 9, TGH, Ch. 23).

He is married to Nela al'Caar (TGH, Ch. 23).
