Note: This article contains no spoilers for any of the books.

When I started making an action plan for my time as Amyrlin, one of the things I wanted to do was have a re-readalong of the entire series, both because it's a great series and because the Wheel of Time is what TarValon.Net is based on, and I wanted to get back in touch with our foundation. Plus, I wanted to talk to people about the books as I read them.

Our re-read threads are hanging out in the Book 14 forum, and each book gets a dedicated thread (except the first two, because we were still working out the best form). The group is currently reading The Shadow Rising, book 4. Discussion is still lively, and spoilers are still everywhere.

I have loved the Wheel of Time for a long time--over a decade now. The first time through was fun (well, mostly; I didn't like books 7 and 8 as much then), and every re-read since has been fun. But this re-read is even more fun, if such a thing is possible. The pace is lovely (one chapter a day), but more than that, the engagement is lovely. The conversation around the characters and their actions, and the foreshadowing, and the theorizing...

Look. I get to read books with great writing and a great story, and I get to do it with some really smart people who love them as much as I do. What's not to love?

Even if you haven't been reading along since the beginning, we'd love for you to jump in wherever you want. If you love book 5 and want to talk about it, we'll be starting it in August! If you just want to read people's comments and participate in the conversation, we love that too.
