Why did you choose Val'Cueran?
There were several like-minded individuals that offered respect and companionship.
Do you fit the Val'Cueran stereotype? Are you fiercely loyal and travel in a pack? Do you enjoy the taste of warm milk?
I like to think I am, I leave those decisions to the brothers around me.
What male character from the novels do you think would fit best in Val'Cueran?
Perrin, obviously. Did you see how many books he spent looking for his wife? If that’s not loyalty I don’t know what is.
How long have you been a fan of the Wheel of Time series?
Since May of 1998.
How did you first get into the series?
My father bought me ‘The Eye of the World’ for my birthday that year. I’ve been a fan ever since.
Who is your favorite "hero"?
Bayle Domon. That man kept sticking his neck out for everyone else by happenstance.
Favorite bad guy/gal?
Probably Moghedien. She’s very sneaky. I enjoy it.
Favorite book and scene?
Favorite book? The Shadow Rising.
Favorite scene? The entirety of Chapter 32 in ‘The Eye of the World’
If you were set down in Randland, who/what would you see yourself as? An Aes Sedai? Innkeeper? Seanchan Captain?
Statistically, a farmer. Unrealistically, A sniffer. I’ve always really liked Hurin as a character and by association, his ability.
How did you find TarValon.Net and what convinced you to stay and become Tower Sworn?
I stumbled into a Tar Valon meet-up at Jordan Con in 2016. I thought it was a regular panel so I found a seat in the back corner of the room. They started going around introducing themselves as who they were on the site. When they got to me I had to come clean that I just sorta walked into the toast. Alora and Owena convinced me to sign up for the site, and I’ve been here ever since.
What do you do in "real life"?
I work for a design-build firm that installs conference rooms. I do the Technical Writing for the company as well as assisting with installations.
Do you have any hobbies?
I’m pretty big into video games. I also love the general aspect of Oceanography. I live at the local aquarium learning about everything I can.
What kind of music do you enjoy listening to?
Mostly Electronica. Classic Trance is my main genre, but I also dabble in Power Metal like Blind Guardian.
Aside from The Wheel of Time, what are a few of your favourite books/series?
The Lon-Tobyn Chronicles from David B. Coe, Master of Whitestorm by Janny Wurts
What profession did you want to have when you were a kid?
I don’t think I thought that far ahead as a kid.
