Unless stated otherwise, all information herein is taken from Lord of Chaos, Chapter 43.

The Crown of Roses is an inn in the New City, in Caemlyn (LoC, Ch. 41). Mistress Cinchonine is the innkeeper. It has three stories and is built in white stone. The common room is furnished in dark polished panels with tall fireplaces. It has a separate wine room so that no barrels of ale or wine clutter the common room. There is a clock on one mantlepiece, signifying it is a wealthy establishment (LoC, Ch. 49). It is a favorite for nobles from the country who have no houses of their own in Caemlyn. Its private sitting room upstairs has a good view of the street. The stablemen all wear vests worked with roses and the serving women all wear blue dresses and white aprons embroidered with a ring of roses.

The rebel Aes Sedai embassy to Rand stay at the inn. Merana, the Gray in charge, is from Caemlyn and says it is the finest inn in the city. Between the nine Aes Sedai, their Warders and servants, they practically take over the inn (LoC, Ch. 41). Bera Harkin and Kiruna Nachiman later join the group after travelling halfway to Cairhien when they hear Rand is in Caemlyn (LoC, Ch. 49).
